Glendale STAR Kids

Begun in 1995, the STAR program is designed for at-risk children between the ages of 9 and 14. Most are from low to moderate-income families in South Glendale.
Students enter the program recommended by teachers, school administrators, and others.
Typically, STAR has 12-20 children enrolled in the program. Many come from impoverished family situations, single-parent homes, or those without nurturing parents or families.
This is an intensive long-term mentoring and guidance program that involves both the students and their families.
The Glendale Association of REALTORS® has been involved with this program for over 20 years. We are here to set up an ongoing Go Fund Me campaign to meet our annual objectives with this particular group.
These kids are craving for adult mentorship and role models. Through our personal volunteer time and your funding, we hope to keep this program alive and thriving.
From our collective personal experiences, these kids have given us more than what we have imagined.
