ABOUT US

We are building Glasgow's largest #GlasgowHumanChainofKindness

Over the past three years, over 2,000 people have joined our Christmas gift basket appeal, creating and donating over 3,000 Christmas gift baskets to Glasgow people in need of a little more love at Christmas.

Glasgow's first Basket Brigade came to life in 2019, Inspired by the Yes Group, "London Basket Brigade". Both our group and the London group are part of the Tony Robbins Foundation initiative which has chapters worldwide.

We launched in 2019, on the simple notion that one small act of generosity on the part of one caring can transform the lives of hundreds and with a commitment to bring the magic of Christmas alive through connection, contribution, and giving. Our first year was a massive hit, our campaign went viral and we raised an incredible £9k in less than six weeks which allowed us to buy enough food and Christmas treats to make and deliver over 500 Christmas dinner baskets to allow families to have an at-home Christmas dinner experience.

Since then, our appeal has expanded and grown to become an online appeal and our focus has shifted from food to gifts and the baskets have become even more creative, beautiful, and magical (see some examples below). We're proud to have been featured in the media, on TV, Radio and have been privileged to have been supported by many local communities and influencers.

This Christmas, our team are coming back together to make this Christmas the best ever yet, and to reach even more people. Especially important this Christmas as we face a very difficult and painful Christmas amidst the cost of living crisis.

OUR 2022 APPEAL

This year we are asking the local community of Glasgow to create and donate one of three types of Christmas gift baskets (up to the value of £15).

Christmas Treats - Selection boxes, chocolates, sweets & treats

Preen & Pamper - Toiletries, feel-good smellies etc

Cosy & Comfy - Socks, gloves, hot chocolate etc

Give what you can - Support us with what you can. Your donation will be used to continue our essential work and give financial support to our partners to buy food/energy and other vouchers for their community.

Corporate donations - We also accept corporate donations.

Note: 100% of your donations go to our 2022 and 2023 appeal.
