My husband and I started trying to have kids right after we got married. We ran into some fertility issues and had to do invitro fertilization. We chose to implant 2 embryos on our first try and were blessed with 2 beautiful girls. We froze the 2 remaining embryos. When our girls were 9 months old I was diagnosed with Stage 1 breast cancer. I have had bilateral mastectomies, chemotherapy, and breast reconstruction and since my tumor responds to estrogen I was strongly advised to not get pregnant again. I carry a BRCA 1 mutation which also gives me a very high chance of getting ovarian cancer so I chose to have a hysterectomy and oopherectomy when I had my breast reconstruction. We now have no way to use our frozen embryos without the use of a gestational carrier which is very costly. That is why we need your help! We have someone willing to carry our babies for us and need helping reaching our goal so that we can make this happen.
