It is with a heavy heart that we share Kelly's journey through her diagnosis of Stage 3 Rectal Adenocarcinoma. Recently, Kelly developed an Acute Kidney Injury (AKI), which has required a hospital stay and delayed her cancer treatment until her condition stabilizes. Once she's able, Kelly will begin an intensive course of chemotherapy and radiation, five days a week.

Though Kelly is surrounded by an incredible care team – her devoted mother Liz, loving husband Jason, supportive cousins Tara and Joanna, close friend Barbie, along with numerous aunts and friends – the road ahead is still challenging. The medical and financial burdens are significant, and the family anticipates rising expenses, especially as Kelly's treatment progresses.

Joanna, Kelly’s cousin, has created this fundraising effort in hopes of alleviating some of the stress that comes with the financial challenges of treatment. This will allow Kelly and her family to focus on what truly matters – her recovery and healing – without worrying about co-pays, prescriptions, travel, food, and other unexpected expenses that come along the way.

Though Kelly recently obtained insurance, she still faces medical bills from prior to her coverage. Any contribution, no matter how small, would be deeply appreciated and a great comfort during this difficult time.
