Like so many people these days, my children and myself find ourselves unexpectedly homeless. We have been sleeping in my truck and hotels here and there. I work from home, but as soon as I get paid, I have to pay for the hotel stays. I have found apartments that are within my budget, but am having a difficult time being able to pay the security deposit and first month's rent. I am so embarrassed by this situation because I have always kept a roof over my children's heads and have been the one who others came to for help, but here we are. I don't ask for help, but there comes a time to set pride aside and ask. I'm humbly asking for help for me and my children. We would like to be in our own apartment as soon as possible.
