Hi I’m Mel & I live & work in the lovely community of Gilberdyke. I am trying to help a family who are really struggling. They have 5 young children, 4 boys & baby girl. I met this family through work. And I’ve noticed they really could benefit from some help. I posted this on facebook yesterday & the response was overwhelming!

Hello.It has come to light that one of our local families are really struggling at the moment. At work we have helped were we can but I feel the community may be able to help with any donations of maybe food, baby items, children’s clothes, Mum hasn’t eaten for 2 days, she puts her children first. She’s a brilliant Mum & has fallen on hard times. Also if anyone knows of any local charities ie food banks etc please let me know. If anyone would like to kindly donate anything you are welcome to drop off at boots. Thank you everyone.

I am trying to raise enough money to purchase a washing machine, tv for the living room, a vibrating chair for the baby & money to help with outstanding bills etc. They are currently renting electrical goods which is extortionate. They have kindly been gifted a fridge freezer & a hoover.
