Supporting my roles in the FreeBSD Project
Hi,
My name is Glen Barber. I am the current FreeBSD Release Engineering Lead, responsible for setting and meeting release schedules and coordinating with various teams to ensure consistent, on-time releases.
I have been a part of the FreeBSD Project as a committer since September, 2010, and part of the Release Engineering Team since June, 2013. During this time, I have added support for building FreeBSD virtual machine images, arm-based images (such as the Raspberry Pi, and similar systems), and implemented functionality to make customized FreeBSD images available for several cloud-based products. In addition, I wrote the utility to orchestrate release builds of varying architectures and machine types, which has been in use and continuously improved since December, 2013.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to allow me to commit 100% of my time to continue this work in addition to support teams within the FreeBSD Project of which I am a member, such as the Infrastructure Administration Team (Cluster Administrators).
