Giving to Kids the Joy of Christmas!

In Honduras,

7 out of 10 kids live below the poverty line.

Almost half of all children do not live with their parents.

Extreme poverty, violence, abuse, sex trade, drugs, and crime—are part of everyday life for people in Honduras.

BUT THE STORY DOESN'T END THERE

John chapter 1 says,

The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God.

AS CHILDREN OF GOD, WE ARE SENT INTO THE WORLD TO BE LIKE CHRIST

WE MUST BE CARRIERS OF LIGHT AND LOVE IN THIS DARK WORLD

“Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Surely, I say to you, as you did to one of the least of these My people, you did it to Me.’

FOR THE LAST 4 YEARS, WE HAVE BROUGHT THE LOVE OF JESUS CHRIST TO HONDURAS

Every Christmas we go and show these kids that they are loved, God sees them, and they have not been forgotten.

WE CELEBRATE WITH THEM, HAND OUT TOYS, AND GIVE THEM THE BEST EXPERIENCE POSSIBLE

We also have help and outreach programs going throughout the rest of the year. But this is the kids favorite time of year! They dream of this day for months in advance!

THE LOCAL CHURCHES THERE HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND FASTING FOR THIS DAY

PLEASE CONSIDER THE IMPACT THAT EVEN ONE SINGLE TOY HAS ON A CHILD

PLEASE LISTEN TO THE FOLLOWING STORY AND REFLECT ON HOW GOD OPERATES

My first year going, there was a child who wouldn't take his toy. He insisted he was not worthy of getting a toy. He got angry and ran away. After we got him and took him aside we discovered what the issue was. The boy's dad had left the country, in search of financial opportunity. Unfortunately the kids see this all the time and in most cases the father or parent is never seen again. So when his father never returned this boy believed it was his fault, that his dad left him because he wasn't worthy of love. But we got to share with him that we have a good Father in heaven who will never leave us or forsake us!

IT'S ABOUT CRUSHING THE LIES OF THE ENEMY

AND SHOWING THE LOVE OF GOD THROUGH ACTION
