FOOD, WATER and SHELTER are basic human needs, together with LOVE. At Marafiki Trust we support children in the Kawangware slums of Kenya through two projects (RHYCO & JHC). Our ‘Marafiki’ (meaning friends in Swahili) support street children back into education through a rehabilitation drop-in centre and in addition a small group of boys with cerebral palsy to access physiotherapy. During this pandemic crisis, schools and the centres have had to close. Caregivers have lost the little income they derived from casual labour. Our children do not know where their next meal will come from, have little or no access to clean water to drink let alone wash their hands and face eviction from their homes. Please help us to help them.
