Giving back to the Cox's who are giving everything

Donation protected

In June of 2007, Mike and Gaye Cox answered the call to start a ministry of rescuing abandoned and neglected horses and pairing them with hurting kids, on their 5-acre ranch.
Thus Stormhaven Youth Ranch was born.
Their mission being...
"Connecting hurting children with rescued horses for healing... "

In the 12 years since starting this amazing rescue and ministry, hundreds of children have been able to have a healing experience with these rescued horses... and 40 rescued horses have found new homes!
From the beginning, Mike and Gaye have poured all of their resources into the horses and children.  As a result, over time, their personal home, a mid-1800's farmhouse, (not covered by the ministry part)  also located on the property where they live, has fallen into disrepair.
With gutters falling off, floors falling in and no working furnace for over 5 years, the unusually cold winters and strain of daily life have taken a toll.
We are so thankful that so many people have supported Stormhaven Youth Ranch through the giving of their time and financial gifts...however, due to IRS rules, Mike and Gaye are unable to use Non-Profit funds for any personal needs or home repairs.
We are fundraising to help Mike and Gaye personally and to give back to them who have sacrificed so much for these precious children and horses.
We have known Mike and Gaye for over 16 years, and due to their selflessness and humility, have only recently been made aware of their personal need.
We have had contractors survey the house and have created a comprehensive plan that will bring their house to a livable condition. The amount listed as our goal is exactly what is needed for the repairs and does not reflect any fees for fundraising.
Scheduled repairs are:
Replacing 9 windows.
Repairing and replacing broken water pipes that were frozen during the recent polar vortex.
Repairing plumbing and floors of the bathroom.
New furnace and HVAC.
Replacing and repairing floors in several rooms.
Repairing holes in the roof and resulting water damage.
Insulation of floors and ceilings.
Soffit and Gutter repair.
The work will be scheduled as soon as the money is raised, as their busy season of the ministry has begun this week and we are still in this unusually frigid winter.
There are many more needs and we would love to see their needs met in abundance!
We are so excited to be able to bring relief to this amazing family!

Thank you so much for your support in advance!
