Give a Gift Southampton 2021

2020 was a strange year for everyone and we as a team were not able to continue our project to collect Christmas Presents for children in hospital Christmas Day as we normally would have.

Without the ability to hold our annual festive event we managed to switch to an online event and thanks to the generosity of you all, although we were not able to take Santa for his annual Christmas Morning visit we were able to provide the wards with much appreciated presents for all the patients and siblings.

2021 planning is well underway, we are hopeful we can return to a 'real life' event and are also throwing in a winter wonderland and Santa has agreed to visit our grotto for kids to be able to visit him!

Donations as ever will be used to purchase presents for poorly children but we are also hoping to raise enough to be able to provide the wards with fun things throughout the year - Give a Gift is not just for Christmas anymore!

We have plans for interactive workshops, performances and all sorts of fun things to lift the spirits of the children throughout the year.

We are so grateful for all the support we have had over the years and with your help we can only grow and help more people with our initiative.

Established in 2012 'Give a Gift' is a group of local people who all have a personal connection to Southampton General Hospital. Some as long term patients, some as parents of patients and some who have experienced the great work they do through having family or friends spend time there.

We are not for profit and all of us volunteer to run our yearly event.

To date we're collected in excess of 2500 gifts and raised over £5500 for our charities.
