Take Time to GIVE A CARE Foundation, Inc. is being established IN MEMORY OF my daughter, Anika Vai.
Our October goal is to incorporate by October 25.

Anika was born as a domestic violence victim after her father chose to become violent during our pregnancy.  Her father's CHOICE to be violent became Nikki's CONSEQUENCES: being born with a fractured skill.  At 2 weeks old; Nikki had to endure 2 brain surgeries; then, 2 more surgeries in her teens; with each surgery forcing her to  also endure having her head completely shaved.

Being born with a traumatic brain injury and the fragile medical condition of hydroencephalitis caused Nikki to suffer through surgeries, seizures and social stigmas all of her life. Miraculously, Nikki  lived victoriously, fighting against tremendous odds until her death in September, 2006;  when she finally succumbed to the horrendous  physical and emotional ravages of hydroencephalitis: the chronic seizures, surgeries and frequent emergency hospital visits.

OUR ULTIMATE GOAL is $629.00
$629.00 will fund our 501 ( c ) 3 application fee; so, Take Time to GIVE A CARE Foundation can operate as an official non-profit organization. 

 My daughter, Anika was an Affectionate, Nurturing, Intuitive, Kind, Abundantly loving spirit whose daily goal was “to put a smile on your heart”. During the past 9 years, I have learned how to trust God’s ability to heal the excruciating pain of my shattered life and broken heart to find a new "joy"; that is, the "joy" of living inside Nikki's legacy. We are  taking time to "give a care" and in Anika's memory, we are making a positive difference in the lives of others.

 Our VISION/MISSION is:

STOP THE DEVASTATION OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE by advocating for widespread community-based partnerships to implement strategies focused on empowering COMPASSIONATE PARENTING AS THE ANSWER TO ENDING DOMESTIC & YOUTH VIOLENCE.
