Hey friends, We are organizing a giving campaign to donate to four incredible organizations because for every dollar donated, Mey's employer will match 50% of it. We (Mey and Os) will match it to make this a 1:1 dollar match this week until Friday, November 15 only! WAYS TO DONATE Via GoFundMe here! Donating with this campaign guarantees to make these dollars even bigger and go further. Any amount will help! Our goal is to raise $2000 to get a match up to $2000. Together, we can raise $4000 in total. If 100 of our friends gave $20, we would get there! WHO WILL BENEFIT AND HOW? We have chosen four organizations because we have witnessed and can attest to the incredible work they are leading through their respective communities. That matters for shaping the future of our shared community. We wanted these organizations to reflect diverse communities that you may or may not know of already. We couldn't pick just one because they are each infinitely deserving. Each organization will receive up to $1000. CAAL - Coalition of Asian American Leaders caalmn.org  CAAL has built a network of almost 1,500 leaders whose mission is to harness our collective power to improve the lives of community by connecting, learning, and acting together. CAAL envisions a State where all Minnesotans, regardless of background, are actively engaged and can achieve prosperity. They have led the way for statewide policies that support communities of color in education and economic development. Indigenous People's Task Force indigenouspeoplestf.org The Indigenous Peoples Task Force strengthens the wellness of our community in a way that is based in indigenous values and ways of knowing. We were particularly touched by the IPTF's approach in using cultural arts to support Native youths using theater to share real-life experiences.  RISE - Reviving the Islamic Sisterhood for Empowerment revivingsisterhood.org RISE is on a mission to amplify the voice and power of Muslim women. They are challenging misconceptions and assumptions of Muslim women and uplifting their real voices and perspectives. TruArtSpeaks truartspeaks.org  Their mission is to cultivate literacy, leadership and social justice through the study & application of Spoken Word and Hip Hop culture. TruArtSpeaks' vision is to counteract the dominant narrative surrounding youth and those most often rendered invisible in our society by providing platforms for them to be heard, fostering the personal and social change required for equity.
