Give Vincent the Gift of Time to Play Volleyball Again
Vincent is my nail tech and we bonded over our love for volleyball. He made the difficult choice of leaving pro volleyball in Vietnam to come to America when he was in his 20s to build a better life. He traded courts and competition for long hours in a nail salon.
What many people don’t know is that volleyball was always his first love. By coming to America, he never had the chance to pursue his volleyball dreams. And now, at 60 years old, his body still wants to play, but time is running out.
This fundraiser isn’t about chasing some big dream anymore or going pro. It’s about something much deeper: Giving a kind, hard-working man the time and freedom to reconnect with a part of himself he’s had to bury.
I want Vincent to be able to step away from nails, even just part-time, so he can play more volleyball while he still can. To join leagues, move his body, feel joy, connect with others, and finally give himself that piece of life he never got to experience growing up.
If you’ve ever had a passion you’ve had to put on hold, or a part of yourself you buried to survive, you understand what this means.
Every donation goes toward giving Vincent the freedom to reclaim this joy, without feeling guilty from not working. Even if you can’t donate, a share means the world.
