I’m reaching out today with a heartfelt request for my dear friend, Charelle, who is on an inspiring journey to create a stable and loving home for herself and her daughter, Alasia. As a single mom, Charelle has faced immense challenges, including a period living in a women’s shelter. Despite these struggles, she has shown incredible strength and resilience, diligently working her way through programs that have led her to a subsidized housing option while she awaits her Habitat for Humanity home.

However, Charelle now finds herself in a difficult situation. The funding for the down payment match program has become uncertain, placing her further down the list and making it challenging for her to secure the much-needed $3,500 for her down payment. This amount represents not just a financial goal but a significant step toward stability and security for her and Alasia.

Throughout this journey, Charelle has grown immensely in her faith and has even embraced a new beginning by getting baptized. Her determination and hope are inspiring, and she is asking her village for support during this critical moment.
