Give Sophie a chance for Belonging and Community

As we have reached our initial target for Sophie (thank you) we are now focused on raising money for more women in challenging circumstances to join the Four Seasons Journey.

Read on for Sophie's Story and to learn more about why this is so important. Your gift will increase the scholarship amount to other beautiful women who simply cannot afford to join the course even with the scholarship.

I want you to meet an incredible woman, a courageous, loving, creative woman, Sophie an Asylum Seeker from the Middle East. She like many people had to flee her home for fear of her life and the life of her husband. Her journey to Australia has been very long and very challenging. She was separated from her husband for six years by the Australian Government. They are together now in Australia but Sophie is not recognised as a refugee and so for the past four years, and ongoingly she has been denied the right to work, travel or undertake any formal studies.

Sophie is here now ready to do the healing work for herself and her community. But as an Asylum Seeker it is difficult to put roots down. She is denied permanent residency. Sophie would like to connect with a circle of women and become part of a community. She wants to join the School of Shamanic Womancraft year long program, the Four Seasons journey beginning in February 2024.

The Four Seasons Journey is a year- long in person program offering cyclical, Earth-based, spiritual and shamanic practices. We reclaim Sisterhood, connection with the Earth and the Sacred Feminine for all our relations. We co- create much needed community and a strong sense of belonging.

Your support will contribute to a fully paid Scholarship with the Four Seasons Journey for Sophie

In a safely held circle we explore our inner world, heal our past wounds transforming then into our medicine. Focused on the shamanic perspective of cycles – of the Earth, Life, Moon and the menstrual cycle of Woman – the 4SJ prepares its students to become Shamanic Craftswomen – teachers and practitioners of the women’s mysteries, for their community and beyond, in the worthy mission of healing the wounded feminine, healing birth and healing the Earth.

Your support will help Sophie do the necessary healing work in a safe and sacred space

The School has been running programs since 2009. Each year we offer scholarships to women, mostly this is a discount and sometimes this is a full scholarship. Over the years over $100 000 has been gifted to the women who have come through the scholarship program but we lack the funds to continue to do this on our own. As costs rise the cost of the course has also gone up with accommodation, catering, materials, medicines, staff and equipment costs all rising significantly.
