Give some Love back to Charlie with a new OneWheel

Hey float friends! My names Brian and I’m one of the group leaders here in Fl. I lead the St. Pete Float Fleet. I have come here and started this fundraiser for another group leader. Her name is Charlie Peterson of the Florida West Coast Shredders. Charlie is one of the many amazing people in our community. But she goes one step further than most and helps lead and drive the force that keeps good group rides and people together and wanting to come back for more. A true leader! She rides trails amazing and is always willing to wipe out, wipe it off, and keep on going. She loves sports, life, and this community like no other.

An unfortunate event happened this weekend with her and her best friend XR. While floating in another town with friends they were caught by some rain. No big deal the badger should be good. With less than a mile to go. Her board dumped her without warning. Charlie is a trooper let me tell you what. She probably got up, saw her board wouldn’t turn on, and started walking. After being rescued and brought back to their destination. She decided to not leave her board in her jeep(thank goodness) and at least leave it standing up in hope that it would dry out.

Well, not sure what time it was but her battery went thermal. And the board started to go haywire. She got it outside and the fire department came and made sure everything was stable. But she was scared to death to say the least. And I know she’s heart broken to have her baby burnt up. Just as anyone would.

With her amazing riding skills on and off road. Her love for riding. Her love for this community. I am hoping we can all give just a little of the love back to Charlie and get her something more suitable under her feet. Like a New Onewheel GTS!!!!!
