May 2024 - A Follower, Yoselline messaged me and told me about Pete. She also lives in the Houston area and thought maybe my Followers could help Pete. Pete is Homeless AND Blind. He has no family. He is 56 years old and has lived in Houston for over 50 years. Pete sleeps outside in front of a business on the concrete. He gets up and tries to make his way to the street so he can panhandle for food to eat everyday.

Here we are 7 months since I met Pete and SO much has changed! He now has Supplemental Security Income of $628 a month! He has $300 Food Stamps each month! He has Medicare benefits!

The biggest thing is Pete has a place to stay to keep him off the streets. The problem is that the rent is $450 a month for a room in a house and he helps with the electricity. After paying rent, he only has $130 a month to live on for the whole month. He usually needs $20 a day to live and buy necessities. Another $500 a month would help Pete dramatically.
