My name is Sandy; I am doing this GoFundMe for my niece Paytin, a beautiful, intelligent, typical 17-year-old who has maintained an above-average GPA while caring for her sick mom, who was diagnosed with COPD. On June 1st, 2025, mom passed away with Paytin by her side.

While having to go through mom's stuff and her own so that she can close up the apartment and move to another city to her dad's house, this new home is 100 miles from her 92-year-old grandmother, whom she loves, and her friends. Paytin was getting settled with her dad and signed up for school when the unimaginable happened. On August 21, 2025, her dad David was in a tragic motorcycle accident and succumbed to his injuries. Paytin then was responsible for gathering up her belongings and deciding where she would go next. Paytin chose her sister Paige to be her temporary guardian in yet another city. However, Paige is married with two children, and there is now a need for an addition for a bedroom for Paytin.

Paytin has decided on online schooling. Once again, she has to put her dreams on the back burner. She needs hope for the future; she needs a space of her own. The funds will be used for an addition to the house, she needs driver's ed and a car so she can travel to visit her grandmother and friends, and help with college if she chooses. To experience something so tragic, something that should be left to fiction novels, she needs something to look forward to. A future for Paytin who deserves a brighter outlook than what this life has handed her in the last 10 weeks.
