Let’s Give Mrs. Petrona the Dignity and Life She Deserves ❤️
During a recent trip to Guatemala, I had the privilege of meeting someone I will never forget, Mrs. Petrona.
She’s a kind, selfless woman in her 60s who has spent most of her life helping others in her community. Even with very little of her own, she’s the type of person who always gives what she can a warm smile, a hand to hold, or a meal she can barely afford.
When my cousin first met her, it was raining heavily. The scene she walked into was heartbreaking. Rainwater poured through the cracked roof of Mrs. Petrona’s home. Her floors were flooded. Her mattress was soaked. And she had no food in the house. Not even bread. No one should ever have to live like that.
When we visited her a few days later to bring food and supplies, she welcomed us with gratitude and dignity, but what we saw shattered our hearts. Her only fridge is decades old, barely working, and held just a small pot of beans. That was it. She often goes entire days without a single proper meal.
And yet, she never once complained.
She shared that last year she fell and broke her arm, but because she couldn’t afford to see a doctor or even get an X-ray, she’s been living in constant pain ever since.
Despite all of this, she still finds the strength to help her neighbors. That’s just who she is.
We want to change her life.
Our mission is simple—but powerful:
• Fix her roof and seal her home so rain no longer floods her floors.
• Buy her a proper fridge to store food and medicine.
• Provide clean, dry mattresses so she can sleep in peace.
• Set her up with a small business so she can regain independence and dignity.
We’ve already committed the first $2,000 ourselves.
Every single dollar helps.
Even $5 will make a difference.
If you’ve ever wondered what it feels like to truly change someone’s life—this is your chance.
Please help us give Mrs. Petrona the dignity, comfort, and opportunity she’s never had but deeply deserves.
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
