Help Me Give My Dad His Dream!

Hello everyone, my name is Missa, and I’m starting this fundraiser for someone who means the world to me — my dad!

I’ll soon be moving out of our home, and it’s possible I won’t see my dad for several years at the very least, and he's looking worse and worse as the months go by. It's really hard to watch your parents age after all. This transition has made me reflect deeply on all the memories, sacrifices, and love he’s given me over the years. Before I go, and before I don't have the ability to anymore, I want to give him something unforgettable: the chance to live out a dream he’s had his entire life — driving a train. It may seem a little silly, but I want to help heal his inner child.

There’s a “Behind the Wheel” experience in Las Vegas that gives people the incredible opportunity to operate a real locomotive. For as long as I can remember, my dad has been fascinated with trains not just as a hobby, but as a deep, lifelong passion! He lights up when he talks about this dream, and I know getting behind the controls would mean the world to him.
