Help Me Replace My Sister's Stolen Stove
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Ariana and I am raising funds for my sister Michelle and her family. A year and 8 months ago, while her roof was removed for rebuilding, a storm blew in. A real Texas gully washer. The roofing company didn't have tarps on hand and her whole house was flooded. A total loss. Every baby photo. Every memory. Kid's toys. Appliances. Even the wiring in the walls and the beautiful old Saltillo tiles in their 1960s ranch home. She has been battling with insurance to get her house rebuilt this whole time, and it seems like the hits keep coming.
They were almost ready to move back in when she and her husband, Johnny, got called to the bedside of a friend with cancer to say a final goodbye. While they were gone, someone broke in, in the dead of night, carefully turning off lights and staying out of view of cameras. They knew what was there and knew no one would be home. The thieves stole her just delivered, brand-new stove and anything of value from the few boxes of things that were able to be salvaged from the flood. So far the police have no leads.
Now if you know Michelle and me, you know that growing up without a lot makes it hard to spend money on ourselves. But she had splurged on a really nice stove because cooking was something she loved to do and she would use it for a long time. Since she and Johnny just filed for a total loss with the insurance, the new higher deductible is the same amount as it would be to replace the stove.
I want to show Michelle and Johnny and their kids some love by replacing the stove. I need your help! Will you donate any amount to help me raise the money to buy this stove again? I want her to feel the love of her community and friends after so many months of heartbreak and grieving lost things. Let's give her a WIN after so many losses.
