Our daughter, Luna, is unilaterally deaf and has recently been denied coverage for a hearing aid through CHAMPVA, which is provided to her by her father, a disabled veteran. This hearing aid is crucial for her development and speech. Unfortunately, the cost for the hearing aid and associated medical expenses will amount to around $10,000 out of pocket.

We are reaching out for help because we want Luna to have access to hearing as soon as possible to prevent further delays or potential hearing loss. CHAMPVA has refused to cover any costs related to her hearing loss, which she was born with. Luna is completely deaf in her left ear, and we just want her to have the best chance at a normal life.
