Hello, my name is Carolina Pesqueira and I am a freshman in college. This upcoming January during winter break, I plan on volunteering for 3 weeks in Tanzania, East Africa. Tanzania is known to be in extreme poverty and people struggle on a daily basis. My time will be spent helping the community by building eco-friendly infrastructure, tutoring children and teaching them English, implementing water projects for fresh drinking water along with a few other beneficial needs for the community. Hoping I, along with the other volunteers, can help improve their living conditions. I believe the holiday season is a season of giving, and that is exactly what I want to do. This is also an opportunity to meet new people and learn about their ways of living, get to know them personally, discover different cultures and most importantly, leave Tanzania knowing that I made a difference in their lives and community.

These funds will be used to help pay for the expenses to help me go and volunteer for a few weeks on the other side of the world. I am doing this to make a difference and to spread kindness and love.
