Support Noelle's Fight Against Leukemia
Donation protected
Our hearts are shattered as we share that our beloved 5 month old niece, Noelle Caroline Lehto, has just been diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. In just a few days, her tiny body has undergone more than most of us could imagine in a lifetime.
Her white blood cell count was dangerously high, causing her brain and other organs to be at risk. Doctors had to act immediately to reduce the risk of stroke and organ failure. Her care team worked tirelessly—managing blood transfusions, monitoring for kidney failure, and starting an urgent chemo regimen to stabilize her system.
Due to dangerous swelling and pressure in her brain, she underwent high-risk surgery to relieve that pressure—something only made possible after pushing her platelet levels high enough to safely operate. Thankfully, the surgery was completed successfully, and we are already seeing improvements in her status.
Chemo and steroids have begun, and the coming months will be intense. Noelle, Thomas, Heather and Maverick will remain hospitalized for at least 6 weeks and then continue with 6 months of aggressive in-and-outpatient treatment, followed by over a year of maintenance therapy.
This journey will be long and painful, emotionally and financially. We are raising funds to support her care—medical bills, travel, lost income, and anything her parents need to stay by her side during this unimaginable time.
She is a fighter. She’s already shown strength beyond her years, and we are holding on to hope every minute of every day.
Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping her in your thoughts and prayers. Every little bit helps give this precious girl a fighting chance.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
