Hello! My name is Tabithia Graves. I am writing this and fundraising for one my friends and colleagues. Heather has a huge heart for those individuals with disabilities. Heather teaches on the high school level and she teaches those students with severe to profound disabilities. But her heart for those individuals does not stop there. Three years ago it was put on her heart to adopt a child from Bulgaria that has down syndrome. Through a lot of praying and fundraising, this single mother was able to bring home that special bundle of joy. Fast forward to, today and it has been put on her heart to do this again. While there are grants and fundraisers for this type of thing, that can not happen until after a home study, and with this particular adoption, the home study is done last, so funds have to raised up front. This process, this time around, has been fast tracked, so funds need to be raised quickly. The little lady bug that Heather is going to adopt has a rare condition that usually does not allow the child to survive past birth, but by the Grace of God, she has made it to two years old. She is in Bulgaria in an orphanage, because babies with disabilities in other countries are unfortunately looked at like a curse, the urgency to get her to the states is dire, so that she can be loved and get the proper medical treatment.
