Assalamu Alaikum, My name is Shuhana, and I am starting this fundraising campaign in loving memory of my late mother. My mother had a deep love for helping the less fortunate and supporting orphans. Her compassion, generosity, and selflessness shaped who I am today and left a lasting impact on my heart. After her passing, I felt a strong responsibility to continue the work she cared so deeply about and to honor her legacy through meaningful action. It deeply saddens me to see the harsh living conditions so many people endure and how often their struggles are ignored or overlooked. I cannot turn a blind eye to this suffering. Helping others has always come naturally to me I have always been passionate, caring, and generous toward those in need, especially people facing hardship and difficulty. This cause is something very close to my heart. After a long time of reflection, intention, and prayer, I’ve finally taken a step I’ve been wanting to take for years. I have founded NUMIM Humanitarian Foundation, a charity named after my children, using all of their initials. This foundation represents not only my love for them, but also my hope to leave behind something meaningful for them and for others long after I am gone. NUMIM stands for Nurturing Ummah through Mercy & Ihsan Meaningfully. This foundation is built on the belief that life is short, and what truly benefits us in the end is what we give sincerely for the sake of Allah. My intention is for this work to be an ongoing sadaqah jariyah a continuous charity that supports people through hardship and continues to reward us in our Akhirah, InshaAllah. I’ve wanted to do charity work for many years, and Allah has finally made this possible. NUMIM Humanitarian Foundation is not just about giving it is about mercy, compassion, dignity, and serving those less fortunate when they need it most. Because in the end, when we leave this world, it is our good deeds that remain.
