Tyler and Tosha are two of the most dedicated parents I know. They have always worked so hard to provide for their family, never asking for help and always putting their children first. This December, as they prepare to welcome a new baby right before Christmas, they are facing a challenge no family should have to endure. Their baby has been diagnosed with Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH), a condition where a hole in the diaphragm allows organs to move into the chest, crowding the heart and lungs. Recent tests revealed the situation is more severe than anyone expected: the baby's right lung has stopped growing, her intestines and kidney have moved into her chest, and she will need immediate surgery after birth.

Tosha's care has been transferred to Children's Hospital, where she will deliver at 38 weeks. The baby will be put on a ventilator and taken straight into surgery, then remain in the NICU for at least three/four months. Tosha is unable to work and will be splitting her time between home and the hospital, while Tyler continues working to cover the mortgage, car payments, insurance, and all the bills. With the holidays and their son's birthday happening at the same time, the financial and emotional strain is overwhelming. They are even at risk of losing their home, and will need to pay for daycare for their son Josiah since Tosha can no longer work and he wouldn’t be able to go to hospital with her due to baby’s condition.

Tyler and Tosha have never needed help before, but right now, they could truly use the support of friends, family, and kind strangers. Any contribution will help take some stress off their plate, keep a roof over their heads, and give their children a sense of normalcy during this difficult time. Your generosity could help save their home and their kids' Christmas. Thank you for considering a donation and for keeping this family in your thoughts.
