Help Support a Teen Refugee’s Battle for Hope and Justice

We are reaching out to ask for your support for a remarkable young person in our community—a teenage refugee who is facing significant legal charges and urgently needs help covering legal costs. This young man has made a huge impact on his caseworkers, teachers, friends, and neighbors and now it is our turn to make an impact for him.

This teenager has already faced more than most of us can imagine. He came to this country seeking safety and a better future. He has taken on these obstacles with grace and hope. He has often told us, “There’s always tomorrow, and tomorrow can be better!”

He works incredibly hard in school, helps care for his younger siblings, and dreams of one day becoming a soccer coach and going to college. He’s kind, resilient, and has a sense of joy and purpose even in the most difficult times.

Right now, he is facing a legal battle that could alter the course of his future. With the right legal support, he has a real chance to continue building the life he’s working so hard for and deserves the right to—but he can’t do it alone.

We are working to raise $5,000 to help cover his preliminary legal expenses. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward ensuring he has a fair chance in court and a real opportunity to pursue his dreams. If we exceed our fundraising goal, the funds will be added to an account that he can use for essentials, like food and data to speak with his loved ones near and far.
