Remember the Kony 2012 campaign where we learned about thousands of children who were kidnapped into a resistance army and forced into battle in Northern Uganda?
If not - check out this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w9AntesKLSE .
After the Kony 2012 campaign, there was a TON of aid helping these communities after the war. The problem is, after the KONY campaign stopped being the headline of every newspaper for those few weeks, aid in those places also stopped.
Last summer I had the opportunity to go to Uganda and become friends with many of those children (now adults my age and a little bit older) and learn their stories. Many of them are suffering from intense PTSD and many of their children are suffering from extreme poverty.
My friend Boskos brother was also abducted as a child soldier. However, Bosko is using his experience to help create change and build a strong education for the children of Pader!
Help me help Bosko change his community in northern Uganda and help the non profit he is starting called Give Hope Africa!
Give Hope Africa is creating opportunities for more children in Northern Uganda to have their basic needs met such as access to food, shelter and education!
