Help Hanadi from Gaza Live in Peace and Reclaim a Childhood with Her Surviving Family.
Hello, I’m Farah Atef Khater, living in Sweden, and I want to help my family who are currently in Gaza. With your support, I hope to get them out of Gaza and to Egypt as quickly as possible. Iam just helping my family to create this link because they cannot make one or raise funds from inside Gaza.
”Hello, my name is Atef Khater from Gaza. I’m currently living in a tent with my young children. I’m responsible for 10 kids, and our living conditions are extremely difficult. My wife and sister were martyred in a brutal attack at a school in Nuseirat that was sheltering displaced people. They were killed in front of my eyes and my children’s. My wife was nine months pregnant, and when we rushed to the hospital, she passed away, but a new life was brought into the world from within her. In that moment, I didn’t know whether to grieve or rejoice. It was an event my heart could barely comprehend. My little daughter, Hanadi, was born—the last memory my wife left me before she was taken away.
I clung to my daughter, determined to give her the best life possible. But the harsh realities of life have been beyond anything I could have imagined. This is war...
Day by day, my children's condition is worsening, but my daughter, who never even had the chance to see the light of day properly, is suffering the most. She was born with breathing difficulties because the oxygen was cut off in her mother's womb. But by God's grace and the doctors' efforts, she survived. Now, we’re living in a tent in Deir al-Balah, under the scorching sun. The conditions are unlivable, and this has caused my 7-month-old daughter, Hanadi, to develop severe skin diseases all over her body. She’s also suffering from vomiting and stomach issues due to the poor environment and lack of proper nutrition.
I’m pleading for your help so that my children and I can live in peace. I need to leave Gaza and take my daughter and children to Egypt to get the medical treatment they desperately need, and to heal from the psychological trauma they’ve endured during this difficult time”
