Darren and Melissa are incredible parents to Devin and Abigail and great to each other.  Because Abigail has special needs, Darren and Melissa don’t just burn the candle at both ends, the whole candle is alight and can be difficult to carry from time to time.

This campaign is to cover a house cleaner to help Melissa and Darren so they can focus on their children and each other - rather than the dishes and vacuuming.

If you are blessed with children, you can appreciate the hectic schedules and energy of small children. Add the complexity of a small child with special needs (doctor appointments several times per month, organizing in-home care givers, and frequent trips to urgent care) and like Spinal Tap - it goes to 11.   If you aren’t a parent, you can only start to imagine the complexity and demands of their current lives.  As a community, we are coming together to help Darren and Melissa lighten their burdens,  relieve some stress and let them know we are truly there to assist them as friends, neighbors and a community. 

We’re attempting to raise $325 per month to cover a house cleaner.  If you can cover one month, or even the whole year, please do.  If you can only contribute $20 per month (less than a night at the movies) please do.  Please donate what you can - many hands make light work. 

We’ll pay for whatever our funds allow. If you can make a recurring donation, that would be best - so we can pay for this service on an ongoing basis - or at least until Devin graduates from high school :-)
