Hi everyone,

I’m raising funds to help Chris, a former paramedic, now homeless with his 15-year-old pit bull collie, Fenway.

I met them on the streets of San Francisco and sat and talked with him for a while. We bonded over being fans of The Smiths, and he opened up about everything he’s been through.

After losing his job after the pandemic, everything started to fall apart. Without a support system, he couldn’t get back on his feet, lost the home he had for 18 years, and eventually ended up living on the streets. Through it all, Fenway has stayed by his side.

After hearing his story, I couldn’t just walk away.

I brought him to my place so he could shower and rest, gave him some money, and booked a few nights in a hotel so he’d have somewhere safe to sleep.

But a few nights isn’t enough.

Chris hasn’t given up. He’s kind, humble, and still carries that instinct to care for others. He just needs a real chance to get back on his feet.

He saved lives. Now it’s time to save his.

I’m raising money to help him secure a safe place to stay, food, transportation, and a path back to work.
