Hi, my name is Darsh Thakkar, and I am 16 years old.
I may be young, but I believe that compassion, responsibility, and service have no age.
I am raising funds to support SOCIETY TO EMPOWER WOMEN ACTION (SEWA) — a registered non-profit organization in India (FCRA Registration No. 010170281) that has been serving vulnerable communities for many years.
SEWA runs Aashirwad Home for Orphan Children in Tuni, Andhra Pradesh, a recognized orphanage that provides food, shelter, education, clothing, and medical care to vulnerable children. With the support of kind donors and partner organizations, many children here are studying, growing confidently, and even pursuing higher education, including nursing degrees for girls.
Alongside caring for children, SEWA is also working to restart AASRA Old Age Home, a project dedicated to providing abandoned and neglected senior citizens with safe shelter, nutritious food, medical care, dignity, and love during their later years.
I am starting this fundraiser with the full knowledge and support of my parent/guardian and in coordination with SEWA. All funds raised will be transferred securely and transparently to India to support Aashirwad Home for Orphan Children and the AASRA Old Age Home project under SEWA.
