Our names are Brody and Jillian. Our story is one that we hope will continue to grow. My wife and I got married in 2018 and we have been trying to grow our family ever since. Unfortunately, in November of 2019, cancer had other plans. My wife, strong and resilient, battled stage 2 breast cancer with chemotherapy and surgery and came through the other side even stronger and in remission. Our family plans were set and our goal to grow was ready to start again. Yet again, in 2022, cancer decided to rear its ugly face and threaten our family once more. My wife ended up facing a much more aggressive form of breast cancer that forced her down the path to a total hysterectomy and bilateral mastectomy. But, as triumphant as she was, biological children were no longer in our cards. Even though we are unable to have our own biological children, we have too much love to give to let this defeat us. We are eagerly starting our pathway to building our family through the adoption process. We would love nothing more than to give a child that chance at life that every child deserves. Unfortunately, the entire process can come at a great financial burden. Although, we are continuously applying for grants, the cost is still staggering. Any contribution will be cherished and held close to our hearts. We are building a thousand-piece memory puzzle. All who contribute will have their names reflected on a single piece of that puzzle, for our future child to see.
