Give Angie a lifeline - wheels

Donation protected

I would never of dreamed of doing this but sometimes good people need a little help in life and a change of luck and if ever that’s someone after a terrible few months than that is. Angie.

Some of you already know my sister in law Angie, she’s certainly a character in the village she lives.

Last night some people chasing one another in cars crashed and wrote of Angie’s car.  It is only a car, you say but to her it was a life line.

You see, for years she tried to past her driving test, then she discovered she was expecting her second child.

When Charlie was born they discovered  he had cystic fibrosis and so driving was now a medical emergency. In case he needed to get to hospital for treatment, so once again she started to learn to drive.

Eventually (can’t tell you how many years) Angie passed her test and she got her little blue run around.

She passed her test and drove not often but when needed, she had little day trips with Charlie, she got them both to hospital appointments and would visit friends and family  in Plymouth and do the weeklyfood shop.

Sadly, in May 2020 at just 14 Charlie lost his battle with CF and passed away.  His final resting place a church in another village not to far for her to drive too and from.

A week after he died you wouldn’t believe the letters she got from housing and  benifits, they didn’t give her time to grieve.

The house is the only home Charlie lived, it’s full of memories of his life, they have great neighbours and friends locally.

She was even told she needed to find a job, straight after losing her son who she has nurses and cared for and fought many battles on his behalf  for the last 14 years. Yet you would like her to go straight out and get a job, yet they don’t care if she’s fit and well to do the job!

Yet last night whoever crashed into her car has taken away her independence & the one thing that gives her comfort, being able to drive herself to visit her baby at his final resting space.

As if that wasn’t bad enough 5 weeks after losing her beautiful son she also lost her step mother due to ill health. This week her funeral is to take place.

Angie was worried about her dad and had mentally planned in her head to have todrive to Plymouth attack marsh mills roundabout for the sake of being able to visit him and support him.

So whoever crashed into her has taken so much, it’s not a little accident and easy to replace.  She has already suffered so much and if you knew her you know she has a heart of gold and would help anyone she could.

Losing her car in top of everything else is such a blow to her and will only cause added stress and grief which she doesn’t need. What she needs is a reliable little car that is safe and road worthy that she is confident in driving so she can go to the grave of her son, so she can drive and visit her dad or family if she needs too.

if anyone deserves a change of luck and something good in life it’s Angie.

So, if anyone can help contribute towards getting a little car as soon as possible for Angie then we would be very grateful. Because even if those idiots hand themselves in and are insured she won’t get much for her car and waiting and hoping won’t get her back on the road, it took enoughGetting her back in this car trying to find her confidence. The longer she is without a car the less likely she will be to get back into one. Plus the effects on her health and well-being by not being able to go to see Charlie when she wants will be heartbreaking.

what ever you can give will be appreciated! Every penny counts.
