My name is Sushmitha Sundaram, and I have been a Spoken English Tutor for the Iluppaithoppu Government Higher Secondary School in North Tamil Nadu, India, for three years now through Eethal Foundation, which conducts online Spoken English classes to rural Government school students in underprivileged environments.

Our Spoken English classes have given students the confidence to speak full sentences. This year, we want to expand our support by providing brand-new laptops.

With these devices, students can get advanced, custom coaching and use sites like Khan Academy to practice and progress at their own pace.

To manage the growing number of students, we also need to hire more teachers and staff. This will allow us to open our program to more classrooms and keep the student-to-teacher ratio at a reasonable level.
