Although the ceasefire agreement was done, nothing has changed. Everyone believes that the war has stopped and there is no more sufferance but what we’ve discovered is the opposite.

Our home was destroyed during the war and turned into rubble, and since then it hasn’t been rebuilt because the lack of necessary building materials. Every time we pass by it , we hope that it returns to how it was before- full of memories, hope, and life.

Since the beginning of the war, the city has been completely destroyed, and we’ve lost our jobs. One of my sisters was preparing herself to study abroad and all of a sudden everything was stolen away from us. We lost hope in everything.

Our goal from this campaign is to be able to start over once again- rebuild our home, live in dignity, and dig a small hole of hope from under the rubble.
