I GIURASSICI... ora o mai più!
MONGOL RALLY 2026
Chi siamo?
- I Giurassici, cinque amici e colleghi diversamente giovani (55 anni di età media ) e la YarisSauro, inadatta ed improbabile compagna di viaggio a quattro ruote (rigorosamente non tutte motrici), una Toyota Yaris del 2004 acquistata appositamente per l'occasione... (I Giurassici)
Cosa faremo?
- Il Mongol Rally 2026: un'idea folle, un viaggio da paura e delirio, oltre 14000km attraverso più di 17 Paesi, con partenza da Praga ad arrivo ad Öskemen (Kazakistan) o, chissà, fino ad Ulan Bator (Mongolia). (Mongol Rally)
L'obiettivo?
- Arrivare in fondo, possibilmente sani, salvi e tutti interi (il mondo, in effetti, non sembra così facile da attraversare di questi tempi).
Il motivo?
- Esplorare luoghi, superare confini (non solo geografici), ma soprattutto incontrare culture e persone nuove, stringere la mano a nuovi amici (lontani sì, ma forse più vicini di quanto si possa pensare).
Per chi?
Realizzare questo progetto fuori dagli schemi è un nostro desiderio, un sogno che può diventare realtà, ma non solo: vogliamo anche fare qualcosa di buono e aiutare chi ha bisogno di una mano.
- Il 50% delle donazioni ricevute andrà a sostegno della Croce Bianca di Biassono, una ONLUS attiva nel territorio di Monza e Brianza. Tra i servizi forniti: primo soccorso, teleassistenza, trasporti per ospedali e privati, supporto a eventi sportivi, servizi di dialisi e trasporto organi, ma anche corsi di rianimazione e defibrillazione precoce, di disostruzione pediatrica e corsi di formazione strutturati per le scuole. - Il 50% residuo verrà impiegato a copertura di parte delle spese sostenute per organizzare e rendere possibile questa avventura (acquisto e preparazione dell'auto, attrezzature varie, carburante, visti, manutenzione e riparazioni auto, alloggi, assicurazioni, volo di rientro).
- Doneremo almeno £500 a sostegno della causa di Cool Earth, un'organizzazione benefica che protegge le più grandi foreste pluviali del mondo aiutando le popolazioni indigene che vi abitano e combattendo il riscaldamento globale. (Cool Earth)
- Dulcis in fundo, vogliamo donare la fidata YarisSauro al termine del nostro lungo viaggio (di sola andata per lei). Ci stiamo adoperando per individuare un'associazione o una realtà impegnata nel sociale che possa essere interessata: vi terremo aggiornati!

MONGOL RALLY 2026
Who are we?
- I Giurassici (The Jurassics): five "differently young" friends and colleagues (with an average age of 55) and the YarisSauro, our ill-suited and improbable four-wheeled companion (strictly two-wheel drive). She’s a 2004 Toyota Yaris purchased specifically for this adventure... (I Giurassici)
What are we doing?
- The Mongol Rally 2026: a mad idea, a journey of "fear and loathing." Over 14,000 km across more than 17 countries, starting from Prague and finishing in Öskemen (Kazakhstan) or—who knows—maybe all the way to Ulaanbaatar (Mongolia). (Mongol Rally)
The goal?
- To make it to the end, preferably safe, sound, and in one piece (the world, after all, doesn't seem so easy to traverse these days).
The reason?
- To explore new places and cross borders (not just geographical ones), but above all to encounter new cultures and people, shaking hands with new friends who may be far away, yet are perhaps closer than we think.
For whom?
Bringing this unconventional project to life is a personal dream, but it's about more than just us: we want to do something good and lend a hand to those in need.
- 50% of all donations will go to support Croce Bianca di Biassono, a non-profit organization active in the Monza and Brianza area (Italy). Their services include emergency first aid, teleassistance, hospital transport, sports event support, organ transport, and life-saving training courses (CPR, defibrillation, and pediatric anti-choking) for the community and schools. - The remaining 50% will be used to cover part of the organizational costs of this adventure (vehicle purchase and preparation, equipment, fuel, visas, repairs, accommodation, insurance, and the return flight).
- We will also donate at least £500 to Cool Earth, a charity that protects the world’s most endangered rainforests by working alongside indigenous communities to fight global warming. (Cool Earth)
- Last but not least, we plan to donate our trusty YarisSauro once she has escorted us to the end of our journey (a one-way trip for her!). We are currently searching for a social organization or local charity that could put her to good use: we will keep you posted!
