Can you help support a threatened species ?
Lynne & Chris volunteer wildlife rescuers & carers in Gippsland have done this amazing thing!
Out of their own pocket they have funded a custom built flight aviary to help our Grey Headed Flying Foxes, a threatened species, in Gippsland Victoria. Lynne & Chris have gone above and beyond during an exceptionally bad year in the region. Seeing the need for a custom facility they have started the process by purchasing this incrediable flight enclosure. The frame alone was well over the amount here, but any amount to help with the burden would be greatly appreciated. A lot of further costs will be involved including soft netting to line the enclosure to make it safe for these precious creatures, Site preparation, Enrichment for wildlife in care etc.
Currently being completed it will soon be in place and ready for the season ahead.
When the Flying Foxes in their care have needed flight rehabilitation Lynne & Chris have previously transported them to a Melbourne flight enclosure which is a 7hour round trip.
