Holy crap I’m turning 40! Honestly, after breaking my neck at 18 I didn’t know if I would make it to 40 years old. This is an accomplishment for me. Not only have I survived, I’ve thrived! I truly am blessed.

I have had a handful of people ask me what they can get me for my birthday, and I don’t feel like I want for anything, other than to help people. Lately, I have been going with my friend Craig to play bingo at the American Legion in downtown Gilbert. Everyone is so wonderful and the camaraderie among the veterans is honorable. This year they have a goal to raise $16,000 to help children of veterans this Christmas. Instead of buying me a gift, I encourage you to donate to this GoFundMe and ALL of the money will go to Post 39 to buy gifts for those in need.
