India & Nepal

In March 2018 I will be traveling back to the Far East.

In India I’m honored to be able to work with New Light. 
They are actively involved in both the Rescue and Rehabilitation of girls on the street in the red light district. Their work includes: rescues and/or purchasing the girls back from the pimps, providing shelter and safe housing, treatment of their medical needs, counseling for trauma reduction, and education with life skills that prepare them for a new future.

In Nepal I will return to work at the Sewing School. This amazing organization recruits girls from the poorest regions, many who have been sexually victimized. They reside for 9 months and learn a valuable new trade as seamstresses where they will be able to provide for themselves as well as their families some day.

I’m volunteer my time to offer in-depth counseling to the victims. I will also be teaching workshops on reproductive health and menstruation as well as fitness and exercise. Additionally, I will be conducting training for the staff so that they might better serve the girl’s emotional needs.

As always I need to cover airfare, housing, meals and transportation.

Additionally I am asking for two items-

Condoms 

Many girls can be saved from contracting STDs and HIV/AIDS by using condoms. I will be passing them out in the Red Light District. I literally need thousands!

Money for Sewing Machines

Upon graduating each student must raise the money to purchase their own sewing machine. This way, when they return to their villages they will be ready to open up business. Each machine can be purchased in the country for only $100!  It is my goal to bring enough money to help 6 students buy one.
