GIFTS4KIDS ‘5th edition’: Let’s light up lives this Christmas
Christmas – a season of warmth, joy, and togetherness. But for many children and their families in the UK, this festive period is spent within the confines of hospital walls. In these moments, the true spirit of Christmas shines not through grand feasts or towering gifts, but in small acts of kindness that resonate with immense love and compassion.
This line of thought resulted in the creation of Gifts4kids, our endeavour to bring smiles to these kids' faces and convey our appreciation and support for the outstanding staff at Basildon Hospital who spend Christmas caring for the kids.
Working alongside the Mid & South Essex Hospital Charity we've turned your generosity into rays of hope. Over the past four years, your support has helped us raise over £10,000. This year, marking our fifth anniversary, we aim to raise £2,500. But it's not just about numbers; it's about the real smiles and hearts we can touch.
This year is particularly special. Along with buying presents for the children, we are extending our support to the staff wellbeing fund at the hospital. This gesture is a way to thank the nurses and hospital staff for their unwavering care and support, ensuring they know how much their dedication means to us and the families they help.
Northreach 12-Day Challenge: A core part of the campaign
Our 12-day challenge is not just a series of events; it’s the heartbeat of our campaign. Each challenge, from the Santa Sack race to the Cinnamon Tablespoon challenge, is designed to engage, entertain, and inspire our community and supporters. These events are our way of directly connecting with you, sharing the joy, and showcasing the real-time impact of our efforts.

The gifts will be delivered to Basildon Hospital by 15th December. Any remaining funds will be donated to the charity to cover the costs of anything else that needs funding at the hospital’s Children ward.
