Gifts4Kids - 4th edition!

Welcome to the 4th edition of our Christmas Campaign ‘GIFTS4KIDS’
Christmas is a time of joy, laughter, celebrations, and light. However, hundreds of children and their families across the UK will spend Christmas in hospitals. No child or family should ever have to go through this. We had to make a meaningful contribution to provide these children with a special Christmas.
This line of thought resulted in the creation of Gifts4kids, our endeavour to bring smiles to these kids' faces and convey our appreciation and support for the outstanding staff and Basildon Hospital volunteers who spend Christmas caring for the kids.

Gifts4kids is in its fourth year, and the previous three editions have raised over £7500 for Polly Parrot Children's Appeal - Mid and South Essex Hospital’s Charity.
Taking the bar a notch higher this year, our goal is to raise £3000...
Our Christmas campaign is all about fun and play. Your donation will not only go towards buying presents for over 50 children hospitalised at Basildon Hospital, but it’ll also help us deck our Christmas tree. We add a tag with your name to Northreach's Christmas tree every time you donate.
Bring a smile to a child’s face this Christmas
We will need your donations to purchase gifts for over 50 children.
This covers two primary children’s wards - wagtail and puffin; each has 16-bed bays, so a total of 32. There is also the Paediatric Penguin suite that can accommodate 8 children at any one time. The remaining 10 presents are for children seen in the Paediatric outpatient department, which looks after blood tests, and the diabetic clinics and Children’s Emergency department. That brings us to a total of 50 based on bed capacity.
To make Christmas shopping more manageable for the young children at the hospital, Polly Parrot has compiled a helpful list of gifts that will be appropriate for them this year. Your donation will be used towards buying the items on the wishlist, helping us to strike-off items from the list before Christmas.
The gifts will be delivered to Basildon Hospital by 22nd December.
Any remaining funds will be donated to the charity after the gift guide items have been purchased to cover the costs of anything else that needs funding at the hospital (cover the running costs of Polly's Pad or help to invest in new equipment.)
Please help us spread the word, donate and let's make it happen.
