Hello! Gabby is a super sweet and energetic nine year old who lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her mom, Mary, and two cats, Rosie and Toast. Her mom has become quite ill and has spent the last four months in and out of the hospital, eventually being diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, AFIB, and various other chronic conditions. Due to the months in and out of the hospital, Mary has been unable to work and to say that money is "tight" would be a severe understatement.
Right now Gabby is staying with us while her mom is currently at the hospital with issues relating to these conditions.
Gabby staying with us is a temporary solution. We do not know how long she will be with us or where she will wake up Christmas morning (options include- with her mama or Grandpa, her uncle, or us). Either way we want to ensure that Santa has the opportunity to reach her.
Because of the uncertainty of the situation, our wish is to place the funds raised on a gift card to give to whomever may need it to purchase Christmas gifts for Gabby- whether it is me, her mom, her Grandpa, or someone else (it is much easier to send a gift card to purchase gifts than to send her with additional stuff, especially if she is traveling across the country to stay with an uncle!).
I know the holidays are a stressful time, with so many different organizations and individuals asking for gifts and donations. 100% of the funds raised will be going to ensure a nine year old girl has a Christmas morning, and anything left over will be to help support her continuing needs moving forward. At this point she is expecting Santa to not come. Please help me to prove her wrong and give her hope for the future!
The road to recovery for Mary is going to be long and she needs all of the love and support of her community as possible. Gifts for Gabby on Christmas morning is just one very small part of the stress on her at this time, but it is one that can be fixed with your help, please consider a small donation if you are able.
