Hi team

Today I found out the awful news that our wonderful colleague and friend, Gail, is taking time away from work to battle stage IV lung cancer which has also spread to her bones. She won't mind me sharing her diagnosis as she said herself, she needs and would appreciate well wishes from anyone that knows her. Gail joined Stripe 8+ years ago and she's been such a fantastic person to work with and share laughs with throughout. She's a demon on the karaoke mic and her rendition of the real slim shady is something to behold!

Recently married, she should be on top of the world looking forward to all the exciting things in her future, but for now she has a tough road ahead. Whilst we can't fix this for her, I'd love to show her support in any way we can. I'm hoping to raise a few quid for her to use however she pleases, whether it's a holiday or a home karaoke set up. Anything that will give her joy and something to look forward to.

Two asks from me:

1. Please share this with anyone that knows Gail. She's worked in various Risk, FC & Compliance roles in her time at stripe so I'd love to spread the word to as many people as possible.

2. If you can spare it, please donate to this fundraiser I've just set up - and leave a note for her.
