Gift bags for street homeless people in our community

Hi everyone,

We’re 4 friends living together in Lambeth who need your help in raising funds! This year has seen the highest levels of street homelessness ever recorded due to a combination of a cost of living crisis, housing shortage and lack of funding for the charity and social care sector.

As we enter the winter months we forget those who may not have the comfort of a safe, warm home and are therefore extremely vulnerable.

Whilst we recognise that the root of street homelessness is a deeper issue than we are able to solve, we can provide a small token that helps people feel less invisible and acknowledged.

Therefore, we are putting together small gift bags including items like the following:

We will distribute these to people in our local community alongside information for local day centres and advice organisations.

We understand this time of year can be extremely tight financially with the cost of living, therefore we appreciate any donation or sharing of our cause.
