My senior capstone project is close to my heart. I will be delivering gift bags to a local Alzheimer’s and dementia care home, inspired by my poppop’s diagnosis with Dementia. Seeing how much this condition impacts not only those living with it, but also their families, motivated me to do something meaningful for others in similar situations.


I am seeking donations of both funds and essential items for the residents. I will be creating gift bags to personally deliver to the care facility, where I will also spend time visiting with the residents. Each gift bag will include warm socks, chapstick, candy, coloring or activity books, fidget toys, puzzles, large-print books, crayons, markers or colored pencils, travel-size tissues, hand sanitizer, as well as Bible verses and prayer cards to share God’s light and encouragement. Financial donations will go directly toward purchasing these supplies, helping me assemble thoughtful gifts that bring comfort and hope.
