Ghana Sports and Humanitarian Aid Trip 2023
Donation protected
Here at Rotherham United Community Sports Trust, we are planning an exciting once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the young people we work with. In October 2023, we will aim to take 15 young people to Ghana to help with humanitarian aid and sports outreach.
The program will consist of assisting at a local children's centre and working closely with young children. Teaching them sports and English, as well as helping with other projects in the local villages. The sports side of the program will see the young people working with Accra FC, where they will see the grounds the team play and the facilities they train at.
We are running this program for young people to show them the other aspects of the world and how each country is not as established and fortunate as us in the UK. The scenes they will see and work within are similar to those we all see on media around red nose day to allow the young people of Rotherham a chance to help and make a difference.
Please read each young person's page to understand why this trip means a lot to them and their stories behind doing this!
