Life doesn't always go as planned, does it? Jamie and Eric set out for their babymoon in Vancouver, BC, not knowing that they'd be spending far longer there than the long weekend they originally planned.
While in Vancouver, Jamie went into labor and gave birth to beautiful Aiden James at a little over 25 weeks pregnant. I can only imagine how simultaneously joyous and terrifying that was.
Jamie, Eric, and Aiden have been in Vancouver since April and while there have been definite ups and downs, Aiden is thriving in the NICU. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, they may be able to return home in 2-3 weeks.
As a surprise for this sweet family, I set up this fund to help with some of their upcoming expenses. They plan to fly home, but as a preemie, Aiden has a chronic lung condition that could make air travel nerve wracking for mom & dad. They would like a nurse to fly home with them and insurance is unlikely to cover this. If they are ultimately unable to fly, driving home from BC will not be cheap, so any money raised can go toward their trip home.
Thank you so much for helping out this incredible couple. They've been through so much the last few months and I know any help would be greatly appreciated. As I mentioned, this is a surprise, so please don't post anywhere they could see it.
